- What substrates to you print on?
We specialize in printing on fabrics specially developed for flag and banner use. We stock a variety of fabrics for both interior and exterior use. For digital printed flags, we normally print on polyester material.
- What printing processes do you use?
Our in-house manufacturing processes include direct digital printing and sewn-appliqued. For our direct digital printing we use disperse dyes specially formulated for printing on polyester fibers. Sewn-appliqued flags and banners are created through a cut and sew technique using selected nylon materials. For larger quantities, we would normally recommend screen printed products which we can also supply.
- What are your size and colour limitations?
Since our direct to fabric digital printer can accommodate up to a 72" wide roll, our normal size limitation for a single piece flag or banner is 72" x unlimited length. We have produced flags up to 20'x40' however this would require piecing together several strips. If a single piece background is important to you, we are able to offer up to 10 ft. wide printing using one of our dependable outsourcing affiliates. Our size limitation for screen printed flags and banners is 72"x up to 240" (depending on number of colours).
For digital printed products, there are no colour limitations. For screen printed products, we can supply up to 8 colour printing. - Do you have a minimum quantity for custom orders?
No we don't. Digital printing technology allows us to print as little as 1 only piece. For screen printed products, the normal minimum order is 25 pieces (depending on size).
- Can you finish my flags or banners to my specifications?
Yes we can. You only need to specify exactly how you plan to attach and display your flag or banner and we can recommend the most appropriate finishing details.
- How long should a flag last?
The normal life expectancy of an outdoor flag is about 4 - 6 months, depending on the season and geographic area. Generally speaking, a flag will start to fray before the colours begin to fade. If a banner is secured so that it is not flapping in the wind (i.e. attached to arms on the top and bottom), you can usually expect a longer lifespan.
- How big should a flag be in relation to the flag pole height?
As a general rule of thumb, the length of a horizontal flag should be about 1/4 of the height of the flag pole. Vertical flags are normally taller, sometimes as much as 3/4 of the height of the pole.
